Hmmm Thing 7a
Well I must say I’ve had a trying time with the whole google reader thing. I wasn’t expecting this as I’ve been reading blogs for a while and I enjoy quite a few on yahoo reader. Basically, the technology got me -and I’m a technology specialist! I got so frustrated and it is no ones fault except possibly mine as I was quite bull headed and was going to make it work! First I struggled because I don’t really like mozilla and I can’t say exactly why – then everytime I would push the rss button a page it wanted to put it in my yahoo reader since I already use that in my normal day to day blog reading. I fought it and finally got past it – using the cut and paste in the add this into my reader link in google reader. The that Tech and Learning blog really got me nuts because I never saw the link to just link to that one blog – I looked in mozilla and in internet explorer and finally gave up.
Having said all that I felt I wasted some time but I have learned a lot. I do prefer google reader so that is good and I like knowing that I can listen to a podcast without having itunes on my computer. I did not know that. I’m an educator but I can’t say I’ve really found an educational blog that really resonates with me and I’m still struggling with the whole reading on the screen thing. Also, I feel like it is sometimes to much blah blah blah – but maybe I’m just tired. LOL
I do have a specific blog that I read where something always resonates with me – it is called the Happines Blog. http://www.happiness-project.com/happiness_project/2009/03/ten-myths-about-happiness-which-do-you-believe.html
This one I mention did a recent series about ten myths about happiness. It is good reading.
Back to blogs – I will continue to perservere – I love to learn
